Attended the signing ceremony with Ursa Major Technologies, an engine development company, at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo. Promoted cooperation between U.S. and Japanese companies in the space transportation industry.

Innovative Space Carrier Inc. ISC’s vision is “to make the world a place where people and cargo can be delivered every day, even in space. (headquartered in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kojiro Hatada, hereinafter referred to as “ISC”) is a start-up company that aims to realize a transportation system that enables space reusable.

 

On July 9, ISC and its U.S. subsidiary Sirius Technologies held a signing ceremony with Ursa Major Technologies, an American rocket engine developer, at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, in the presence of U.S. Ambassador to Japan George Glass. The ceremony was attended by the U.S. Ambassador to Japan, H.E. Takashi Glass.

Procurement of additional rocket engines and joint study on future engine development

 

Ursa Major Technologies is a rocket engine development and sales company headquartered in Berthoud, Colorado, USA.

 

ISC and its U.S. subsidiaries Sirius Technologies and Ursa Major Technologies held a press conference in April last year to discuss collaboration in the development of reusable rockets, beginning with the purchase of the HADLEY rocket engine manufactured and sold by Sirius Technologies. The two companies have been working together on the development of reusable rockets.

 

In April of this year, MHI and MHI also procured the “HADLEY” rocket engine for the flight demonstration of the reusable launch vehicle ASCA 1 (ASCA One).
In addition, an agreement was concluded to jointly study a rocket system using the “ARROWAY” rocket engine under development, with a view to future larger and more powerful rocket systems.

Attended the signing ceremony at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo

On Wednesday, July 9, a signing ceremony for the aforementioned agreement was held at the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo in the presence of U.S. Ambassador to Japan George Glass.

At the signing ceremony, after a speech by U.S. Ambassador to Japan George Glass, Kojiro Hatada, CEO of Ursa Major Technologies, and Chris Spagnoletti, President of Liquid Systems of Ursa Major Technologies, gave speeches on the joint study between the two companies and future exchanges and business creation between Japanese and U.S. space venture companies.

 

The company will continue development to realize flight demonstration missions using its rocket engines.
