Future Space Transportation Systems, a startup that aims to develop a transportation system that makes it possible to travel to and from space, signed an agreement on cooperation with JFE Engineering on March 28. The new company will establish a development base at a facility in JFE’s Tsurumi Works to work on Japan’s first reusable launch vehicle development project, ASCA, with the aim of increasing the frequency of space transportation and reducing costs.
