Propulsion Systems Development Engineer

Job Description

You will design and develop the propulsion system and rocket engines for the Vertical Takeoff, Vertical Landing (VTVL) aircraft.
The project will include basic, detailed, and maintenance design of the propulsion system in cooperation with the development teams of each system for the launch in 2026.
You will be responsible for studying the rocket engine cycle and designing components such as injectors and combustors as well as fuel piping systems.

・Design of injectors, combustors, diffusers, and piping systems
・Strength design
・Thermo-fluid design
・Vibration design

We are aiming to develop and operate a human space transportation vehicle in the 2030s, and this will be an advanced research and development and flight demonstration project to achieve this goal.

Essential Requirements

・Experience or conceptual understanding of propulsion system (propulsion unit, fuel tank, fuel piping) design for aircraft, rockets, etc.
・Experience in at least one of the following: thermal, control, or structural design

・Experience in creating external explanatory materials
・Experience in 1D CAE (especially simulation with Simulink, etc.)
・Basic knowledge of aerospace engineering
・Vibration design
・Fluid design

・A strong interest in the engineering field, with extensive experience in practice and research.
・The candidate should be able to take on challenges in unknown areas and multi-disciplinary designs.
